Phonics

We use the Essential Letters and Sounds Phonics programme to support the development of reading.  Click below for information for parents on how you can support this at home. You can speak with your child's class teacher to discuss the appropriate phase of learning.

Home School Readers

Some of our students access home school reading books; these may be specific books from our reading scheme (that is matched with phonic phase) or this could be a book of their choice that supports reading for pleasure. Reading with students at home is an essential component to the development of reading skill and enjoyment.  Please discuss this with you child's teacher.
